1. Agreement
These Terms of Use are a contract between you and the operator of Jellin (“Jellin”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Jellin website at jellinapp.com, business and referral accounts, and the Jellin app published under the name Jellin.
If you create an account, subscribe to a paid plan, or record visits and rewards for a business, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Jellin for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” includes that organisation.
Jellin is a loyalty and promotions tool for businesses. It is not a payment account, stored-value wallet, or point-of-sale payment service.
2. The service
Jellin lets a business run loyalty programs and related promotions. Depending on the modules enabled for the business account, the service includes:
- Business accounts. A business registers a workspace (a tenant) with a business name, country, phone number, email address, and password. A VAT number may be provided. The account must be confirmed by email before it can be used. The person who registers can invite other operators, assign roles and permissions, and remove operators.
- Loyalty programs and groups. A business can create programs that award stamps (also called Jells) after visits, set how many stamps are required, and set how long a reward stays valid. Programs can be attached to groups, such as a location, a campaign, or a partner network.
- Visits and rewards. An authorised operator records a visit for a customer identified by a phone number or an existing customer record. The operator can add stamps, redeem a reward, or assign an immediate coupon. A visit can be cancelled by an operator who has permission to do so.
- Customer contact. Customers can take part with a phone number or email address. An app download is optional. Rewards may be shown in the app or sent by email or SMS with a code the customer can present.
- Promotional draws. A business can award a set number of coupons at random to customers already enrolled in a program, including filters such as group, program, or last visit. This is a promotional reward run by the business. It is not a cash lottery operated by Jellin.
- Messages. A business can store message templates and send operational or promotional messages to people enrolled in its programs, and can receive inbox notices inside Jellin. Push notifications may be delivered to a signed-in device.
- Summaries. Owners and operators with the relevant permission can view summaries of programs and visits.
- Referral accounts. A separate account type for people who introduce businesses to Jellin. A referral account uses a name, phone number, email address, password, and referral code. It is not a customer loyalty account.
Features that are not included in your plan, or that we have not enabled for your workspace, are not part of the service you receive. We may add, change, or retire a feature. If a change materially reduces a paid plan you are currently subscribed to, we will tell you before the change applies to the next renewal, or we will let you cancel as described in section 6.
3. Accounts and access
You must give accurate registration details and keep them up to date. You are responsible for activity under your login, including operators you invite. Keep passwords confidential and tell us promptly at nick.glezakos@gmail.com if you believe an account is being misused.
Email confirmation, password reset codes, and similar messages are part of operating the account. You need access to the email address you register.
Roles limit what an operator can do. A typical setup distinguishes an owner, people who manage programs and staff, and people who only check in customers and assign rewards. You decide those permissions. Jellin is not responsible for an operator acting inside the permissions you gave them.
If you belong to more than one business workspace, you choose the workspace when you sign in. Leaving one workspace does not close the others.
You may close your own account as described on the account deletion page. If you are only an invited operator, closing your user account removes your access. It does not delete the business workspace or the loyalty records that belong to that business. If you own the workspace, you may also ask us to delete the workspace and the loyalty records stored in it.
4. Your customers
When you enter a customer’s phone number or email address, or when you record a visit, stamp, coupon, or draw entry, you decide why that data is collected and you are responsible for it. You confirm that:
- you have told the customer, in a way that satisfies the law that applies to you, who you are, that Jellin processes the record on your instructions, and how rewards and messages work;
- you have a valid legal basis for the phone number, email address, visit history, and any message you send;
- you will not ask Jellin to store more customer data than a phone number or email address and the reward activity needed to run the program; and
- you will honour the reward you configure, including the stamp threshold, the validity period, and the participating locations or partners you have set up.
Partner businesses you invite act under your program. You are responsible for what those partners are allowed to do and for the offers they assign.
A customer who has not created a Jellin login can still ask for their phone number, email address, and visit history to be erased. You must help us fulfil that request for records you control. Customers can also write to us using the deletion page.
5. Messages, promotions, and draws
You are responsible for the content of loyalty rules, coupons, templates, and broadcasts. Do not send unlawful, misleading, or unsolicited marketing. Where consent is required for email or SMS, you must have it before you send, and you must honour an opt-out.
Promotional draws must be described clearly to participants, including who may be selected, the reward, and the dates. You are responsible for consumer, advertising, and promotion rules in the places you run the draw. Jellin provides the selection tool. Jellin does not sponsor the prize and does not guarantee that a particular customer will be selected.
6. Plans, payment, and cancellation
Some modules, including use of the app and analytics, are paid subscriptions. Available plans, prices, and billing periods (monthly or yearly) are shown before you pay. Checkout is handled by Stripe. Jellin does not store your full card number. Stripe’s terms apply to the payment processing itself.
A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. You can change plan or cancel from the Subscription area of your account while you are signed in. You can also ask us to cancel by email or through the deletion page if you can no longer sign in.
When a subscription is cancelled in the product, access to that paid plan ends and a refund for the unused period is processed. Fees for use before cancellation remain payable. This does not limit any mandatory right you have under the law of your country.
If you bought access through Google Play, Google’s payment rules also apply to that purchase, including how you manage the Play subscription. A subscription bought on the web through Stripe is managed in Jellin and Stripe, not in Google Play.
We may refuse, suspend, or reverse a transaction that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, charged back, or in breach of these terms. If payment fails, paid features may stop until payment succeeds.
Prices can change at the next renewal. We will show the new price before you are charged. Taxes, including VAT where it applies, may be added at checkout.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use Jellin to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or mislead customers about a reward;
- attempt to access another business’s workspace, another person’s account, or data you are not permitted to see;
- probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or bypass authentication, role checks, or module limits;
- upload malicious code or use the service to send spam, scams, or harmful content;
- resell or white-label the service except where we have agreed that in writing; or
- use Jellin as a store of funds, a wallet, or a card-acceptance service.
We may suspend access if we reasonably need to investigate abuse, a security incident, or a legal requirement. Where we can do so without increasing the risk, we will tell you what happened and what you can do next.
8. Intellectual property
Jellin, the Jellin name, the interface, and the software remain ours or our licensors’. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while you comply with them. You keep ownership of your business name, offer text, and the customer records you submit. You give us a licence to host, transmit, and display that material only so we can provide the service, secure it, and meet legal duties.
9. Availability
We aim to keep Jellin available, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, failures at email, SMS, push, or payment providers, and events outside our reasonable control can interrupt the service. Reward delivery depends on the phone number or email address you entered and on those providers. Check important campaigns in your own summaries.
10. Liability
Jellin is a tool. You are responsible for the offers you make to your customers and for running your promotion lawfully. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss, or for a reward you configured and then could not or would not honour.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights.
If you are a business user, our total liability arising out of the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in that period. If you paid nothing in that period, the limit is one hundred euros (€100).
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Athens have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may also bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence where a mandatory consumer protection law gives you that right.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform, or the consumer authorities in your country. We are not obliged to use an alternative dispute resolution body unless the law says we must.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top of this page will change. If you have an account and the update is material, we will give you notice by email or in the product before it takes effect. If you keep using Jellin after the effective date, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree, close your account before that date.
